Complications or side-effects include bleeding, bruising around eyes, formation of crust on the implanted scalp area, numbness or lack of sense in the treated region, inflammation and unnaturally-looking hair tufts. Few patients also experience shock loss, i.e. sudden but temporary loss of transplanted hairs.
Q2. Is Hair Transplant Surgery Painful?
A. Before beginning treatment, hair transplant professionals provide anaesthesia to the patients, which keep them numb during the procedure. It’s only after 3-4 hours of surgery when the anaesthesia effect gets worn off and patients feel little pain and discomfort. Those undergoing strip hair transplantation i.e. FUT, are more likely to experience pain in the donor site. This pain persists for 2-3 days following treatment. Read more…

A. Yes, there are lots of ways to regain your lost hairs. But first, try to determine if it’s a temporary or permanent loss.
For temporary loss, you can use Rogaine and Propecia. Rogaine is a hair loss lotion which you can directly apply by rubbing it in specific scalp areas, where you wish to grow hair. If you are a male, Propecia is a hair loss pill, which you can get only after consulting a doctor. Do follow the medicine courses as suggested by your physician.
To treat permanent hair loss, you can go for hair transplantation surgeries like punch grafting, slit grafting and micro-grafting; or scalp reduction. Consult a physician who will help you to choose the most suitable hair loss therapy, based on your hair loss pattern.
